Voice typing for recruiters
The best time to write candidate notes is right after the interview, which is also when the next call is about to start. DictaFlow lets you hold a key and speak your notes straight into your ATS, email or doc, then edit and move on.
Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android. Free plan: 2,000 cloud words per 30-day cycle. Pro: $9/month or $84/year.
How to set it up
- Open the candidate record or note field. Click into the notes box in your ATS or CRM in the browser, an email draft or a scorecard field.
- Hold the shortcut and speak your notes. Cover strengths, concerns, compensation and next steps while the conversation is fresh. Release when you are done.
- Review names and numbers. Check candidate names, company names, dates and salary figures before saving.
- Add your recurring terms. Put client names, role titles, tools and skills keywords in custom vocabulary so they are spelled correctly every time.
Tips
- Use a consistent spoken structure, for example strengths, concerns, next step, so notes are easy to scan later.
- Dictate outreach and follow-up emails the same way; DictaFlow works in any field where you can type.
- Keep sensitive details to what your company policy allows in candidate records.
What DictaFlow does not do
DictaFlow does not integrate with ATS or CRM systems, record interviews or summarize calls. It types what you say into the field you have open. Always review notes before saving them to a candidate record.
How DictaFlow works
DictaFlow is hold-to-talk dictation: hold a shortcut, speak, release, and the text is inserted into the active app at your cursor. It includes custom vocabulary, correction while speaking, and a Typing Mode that enters text as keystrokes for Citrix, RDP and fields where pasting is blocked. Standard dictation uses cloud processing; Pro adds Local Offline dictation on supported devices. See the full product facts and privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Does DictaFlow work with my ATS?
If your ATS has a text field you can click into in the browser or a desktop app, DictaFlow can type into it. It is not an ATS integration, so nothing connects to the system itself.
Does it record my interviews?
No. DictaFlow only listens while you hold the shortcut, and it types your dictated notes. It is not a call recorder.
Can I use it for outreach emails?
Yes. It types into Gmail, Outlook, LinkedIn message boxes and other fields. You review and send the message yourself.
What does it cost?
The Free plan includes 2,000 cloud words per 30-day cycle. Pro is $9/month or $84/year.
