Voice dictation for Microsoft Teams
Reply in Teams chats and channels without typing. DictaFlow inserts your speech in the Teams message box so you can check it and press Enter.
Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android. Free plan: 2,000 cloud words per 30-day cycle. Pro: $9/month or $84/year.
How to set it up
- Click into the compose box. Chat, channel post or thread reply all work; DictaFlow follows the cursor.
- Hold the shortcut and speak. Say your message and release.
- Read it, then send. Enter sends in Teams by default, so review first.
- Use Typing Mode on virtual desktops. If Teams runs in a Citrix or RDP session where paste is blocked, switch to Typing Mode.
Tips
- Great for answering several chat messages in a row.
- Add colleague and project names to custom vocabulary.
- Dictate the draft of a long channel announcement, then edit.
What DictaFlow does not do
DictaFlow does not join meetings or transcribe calls. Teams' own live captions and transcription are separate features. DictaFlow is for what you type.
How DictaFlow works
DictaFlow is hold-to-talk dictation: hold a shortcut, speak, release, and the text is inserted into the active app at your cursor. It includes custom vocabulary, correction while speaking, and a Typing Mode that enters text as keystrokes for Citrix, RDP and fields where pasting is blocked. Standard dictation uses cloud processing; Pro adds Local Offline dictation on supported devices. See the full product facts and privacy policy.
Frequently asked questions
Can DictaFlow transcribe my Teams meetings?
No. It is live dictation into text fields, not a meeting transcriber.
Does it work in the Teams desktop app?
It types into the active field, so yes when a message box has focus. Test in your environment.
Does it work through Citrix or RDP?
DictaFlow has a Typing Mode for those sessions. See the Citrix page.
