DictaFlow Medical

Epic dictation software for Citrix on Windows.

Hospitals often block clipboard sharing and audio redirection. DictaFlow Medical types into the active Epic Hyperspace field by simulating keystrokes, including in many Citrix and remote Windows setups. Test it in the exact managed environment before rollout.

Built for Windows 10 and 11 with Citrix Workspace, VMware Horizon, and Remote Desktop. Test it in your clinic’s managed environment before rolling it out.

Why Epic dictation fails in Citrix at home

The "Clipboard Wall"

Most hospitals disable "Clipboard Redirection" for security. This breaks cloud dictation tools that try to paste text.

The DictaFlow Fix

We don't paste. We simulate a physical keyboard typing at 800 WPM. Citrix thinks you are just typing very fast, so it never blocks the text.

How DictaFlow works with Epic on Windows

1. Speak into DictaFlow Medical

DictaFlow Medical offers hold-to-talk dictation through its reviewed Medical configuration. The clinician starts recording when ready, then reviews the transcription before adding it to the chart.

2. Text is injected as keystrokes

Typing Mode sends text as keystrokes to the active Epic Hyperspace field instead of pasting it from the clipboard. It also works in many Citrix Workspace and VMware Horizon sessions.

3. Direct field typing doesn’t require an Epic plugin

Direct field typing doesn't need an Epic plugin or HL7 interface. Managed devices and hospital networks may still need IT approval, a vendor review, and testing under local security policies.
