How to update DictaFlow

You don't need to download DictaFlow again. Pick your device below. Updating takes under a minute, and your account, settings, and vocabulary stay the same.

Windows

DictaFlow for Windows comes from the Microsoft Store, which usually updates it automatically. To update right now:

  1. Open the Microsoft Store app.
  2. Click Library in the bottom-left corner.
  3. Click Get updates, or click Update next to DictaFlow.
  4. Reopen DictaFlow when it finishes.

Can't find it? Open DictaFlow in the Microsoft Store and click Update if it appears.

Mac

DictaFlow for Mac checks for updates on its own. To update right now:

  1. Click the DictaFlow icon in the menu bar at the top of your screen.
  2. Choose Check for Updates…
  3. Click Install Update. DictaFlow restarts on the new version.

DictaFlow waits until you finish a dictation before it installs an update.

iPhone & iPad

  1. Open the App Store.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Scroll to DictaFlow and tap Update.

Or open DictaFlow in the App Store and tap Update.

Android

  1. Open Google Play.
  2. Tap your profile picture, then Manage apps & device.
  3. Tap Updates available and update DictaFlow.

Or open DictaFlow on Google Play and tap Update.

Common questions

Will updating erase my settings or vocabulary?

No. Your account, settings, vocabulary, and text expansions stay the same after an update.

Do I need to uninstall DictaFlow first?

No. Update it in place with the steps for your device. You don't need to download a new installer.

How do I know which version I have?

On Windows, open the Microsoft Store Library and check whether DictaFlow shows an Update button. On Mac, click Check for Updates… in the DictaFlow menu bar menu. On iPhone or Android, open DictaFlow in the App Store or Google Play. If it shows Open instead of Update, you're on the latest version.
